MDC-T deputy national chairman Morgan Komichi accused of contravening the Electoral Act is today expected to make a fresh bail application.
Through his lawyer Mr Alec Muchadehama, Komichi yesterday notified the court of his intentions to apply for bail citing changed circumstances.
Since his arrest in July, Komichi has unsuccessfully sought bail at both the magistrates’ courts and High Court.
Mr Muchadehama gave notice after law officer Mr Michael Mugabe had proposed to have the matter deferred to Monday after magistrate Mr Tendai Mahwe had indicated that the court would not be able to hear the matter today since it was pre-occupied with other matters.
However, Mr Muchadehama argued that bail matters by their nature were urgent, prompting Mr Mahwe to roll over the matter to today.
The trial continued yesterday with a third witness Shamiso Chahuruva the commission’s chief legal officer testifying.
