Komphela concerned

Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela admits his team need to improve their record at home and has questioned whether their struggles to pack out FNB Stadium is partly to blame.

Chiefs are yet to record a victory on home soil in four matches in all competitions this season.

The Soweto giants suffered two defeats to SuperSport United in the MTN8 at Moses Mabhida Stadium and in the league at FNB Stadium, while they drew the others with Bidvest Wits and Golden Arrows at Soccer City.

a?We need to start winning at home and again, you will wish to have the same performance that we have away,a? Komphela said.

a?Could it be because when you play away you have all these stadiums packed with people and at FNB Stadium whether it is a size or whatever, but you donat get the same energy.

a?But last season we never lost here at FNB Stadium. This season we have lost once and at Chiefs when you draw, it doesnat come out nice. We need to quickly change that to get wins so that we can get over the story.

a?But as it is, you know what happened when we lost to SuperSport United and against Golden Arrows, you could see it was a bit scrappy and we were lucky that the Itumeleng Khune injury happened with almost no time. Imagine if there was more time than we would have been tested seriously but we are happy to have survived.a?
