BUDDING model Kritika Lifa Ndhlovu has revealed that she ventured into the arts with a desire to advocate for vulnerable people and give them a voice.
The 24-year-old Gwanda-based creative is a performing artiste who specialises in dance, drama, modelling, beauty and advocacy through the arts.
Kritika Lifa said she would continue pursuing her artistic career as a platform to amplify the voices of vulnerable people.
“I was inspired to pursue performing arts while I was in high school. I did my schooling in Zvishavane and Harare. I have always loved performing, but I didn’t get enough platforms until I got the chance to contest for Miss Gwanda Cheer in Matabeleland South.
“That platform opened my eyes to the fact that my art can be a voice for vulnerable girls who have no voice.
“I am currently a contestant for Miss Noble Performing Arts 2026, representing Matabeleland South. The main challenge is being an independent artist with limited funding and sponsorship. I am based between Harare and Matabeleland South, so travelling long distances for opportunities is costly.
“Another challenge is breaking the stigma around talking about menstrual health in our communities. Sometimes people don’t take art seriously as a form of advocacy, but I keep pushing,” said Kritika Lifa.
Determined to make a difference in the lives of others, Kritika Lifa has also ventured into philanthropy through her Purple Dignity Packs Initiative which she said is her biggest achievement.
“My biggest achievement so far was founding the Purple Dignity Packs Initiative. My first official school donation was at Gwanda High School on Monday, 28 September, where I donated 20 packs containing soap, panties, a towel and sanitary pads to vulnerable girls.
“My artistic dreams include being crowned Miss Noble Performing Arts 2026 and representing Zimbabwe internationally. I also want to grow Purple Dignity Packs to reach 1 000 girls in Matabeleland South by 2027.
“It is my wish to open a small Community Arts and Dignity Centre to support girls from Zvishavane,
Harare and Matabeleland South,” she said.
