KWEKWE rapper, Evans Chitsuku, has released a single track, which recognises the importance of the girl child.
The song is titled ‘‘Chinhoi.’’
In an interview, Chitsuku said he wrote the song with the girl child in mind.
“If it wasn’t for the girl child, the boy child would have no motivation to go places in life.
“The girl child is a source of happiness, a source of love and peace.
“In a man’s world, there would just be vanity so I decided it’s proper to do a song expressing gratitude to the girl child,” he said.
Chitsuku believes the song will earn him recognition as the issues to do with girl child support are taking centre stage in Zimbabwe.
“I am an artiste from a small town recording at a humble studio, it means there is a lot of work to be done to market it.
“Artistes in big cities record at big studios.
“They get recognition and appreciation despite quality.
“However, I hope to tackle the music giants from this weak background of mine because I believe in doing the impossible,” he said.
Chitsuku said he appreciated the team behind the production of the single.
“I am really grateful to DJ Vulie and DJ Mjox, they have afforded me a lot of airplay so far and I appreciate it,” he added.
Chitsuku started his music journey, in 2018, after having realised his talent during his high school days.
