KWEKWE Polytechnic has invented environmental friendly bins to reduce litter.
The institution is exhibiting at the Sustainable Development Goals Exhibition at the Harare Gardens.
In an interview, Kwekwe Poly media and publicity officer, Bruno Shora, said:
“We have invented this environmental friendly bin as a way of keeping the environment clean.
“This bin is different from other bins because when you put litter in it, it can only be desposed of through a hole. The bin also empties liquids.
“We are playing our part in the sustainable goals. We look at issues affecting humankind as well as eradicating poverty.
“This initiative has come through after we noticed that there has been a lot of litter around town.”
