SOUTH Africa house musician, Lady Du, is expected in the capital on Saturday ahead of her performance at Alex Sports Club later in the evening.
The Umsebenzi Wethu hit-maker will perform at the bush party and will be supported by Voltz-JT.
Lady Du, who is making waves with her club banger titled Wa wa, has been making waves in the sub-region.
Event coordinator and organiser, Anesu Rwanda, confirmed Lady Du’ visit.
“Lady Du will be arriving in the country on Saturday morning. We will take her for a few interviews before her performance later in the evening.
“Alex Sports Club has partnered organisers of the bush party. This event has been running for the past five years and it is a family-friendly function, starting from noon till late,” said Rwanda.
“Although there is no bush at Alex Sports Club, people should come in numbers as Zim hip hop lovers are set for a treat.
“I know we are in the rainy season, but worry not about the rains since we have tents big enough to shelter everyone.
“People should bring their own cooler boxes although there will be a bar. I urge people to come in numbers as it is going to be the best show ever,” he said.
Born Duduzile Ngwenya 32 years ago, Lady Du is a rapper, dancer and songwriter.
In August 2021, Lady Du was the first guest judge to replace Somizi Mhlongo in the Idols Season 17 live show.
She was born and raised in Vosloorus, in South Africa’s East Rand.
