Popular Zimdancehall female musician Sandra Gazi aka Lady Squanda has featured in a new drama called “Who’s the Owner?” in which she acts as an attendant at a car wash company. The short comedy also stars singer Jiggaz as the owner of the car wash company who employs a man recently arrived from the rural areas.
The rural guy is sent one day to the bottle store and finds a competition underway, which he joins and goes on to win a car. The question now remains-who is the real owner of the car because the winner used money which he had been sent with in the first place, and not his own.
The self-proclaimed queen of Zimdancehall is a natural performer if past incidents are anything to judge by, including faking her own death last year leading to much confusion amongst fans, relatives and journalists alike who thought she had committed suicide by drinking poison.
Lady Squanda is also known as the lady of hype, as she uses her personality to always publicise herself and her name, and she has shared the stage with international stars including Sizzla Kalonje and Turbulence, to mention a few.
The mother of one is also currently working on her fifth music album titled “Advantage”, which she is set to release in the coming month and features upcoming artists including “Megical” as well as King Shaddy’s younger brother who is called “Junior King”. Her other albums include “The Queen Unleashed”, “Cheuka Kwawabva”, “Squanda Pachigaro” and “Squanda Fire Ndini”.
She is currently riding on a wave of popularity especially during live shows whenever she joins with fellow chanters including Kinna, Seh Calaz and Soul Jah Love, among others.
“I am scheduled to tour parts of the country including Chinhoyi and Gweru in January, and I am also going to hold shows in Cape Town and then the UK in April,” she revealed.
