A WOMAN won a protection order against her sister following a dispute over a stand.

The two sisters, Melody Jera and Beulah Sithole, are no longer on speaking terms because of the dispute.

Magistrate Tamara Chibindi granted a protection order in favour of Melody, who accused Beulah of physical and verbal abuse.

Melody revealed that the land in question was bought by the two of them.

“We bought the stand as a family and her name is the one on the title deeds, but she thinks it’s her house.

“She has a habit of knocking on my window and insulting me.

“She uprooted my vegetables and I want her to stop assaulting me,” said Melody.

Beulah was damant that the house belongs to her.

“She was ordered to vacate the premises and she did.

“I don’t even know where she is staying.

“It’s actually news to me that I am assaulting her,” Beulah said.
