LATEST: BCC lists vaccination centres

THE Bulawayo City Council has listed centres around the city where members of the public can receive their Covid-19 Sinopharm, Sinovac and Covaxin vaccine doses.

The council said residents who want to get the Sinopharm Doses 1 and 2 can go to United Bulawayo Hospitals (UBH), Mpilo Central Hospital and Ingutsheni Central Hospital.

For the Sinovac Dose 2, council said residents can go to UBH while those interested in getting the Covaxin Dose can visit Emakhandeni Clinic, Nkulumane Clinic and Princess Margaret Rose Clinic.

Zimbabwe has to date vaccinated a total of 703 065 people, as the country seeks to attain herd immunity.

The country recorded six deaths and 151 new Covid-19 cases yesterday bringing the total number of active cases to 2 923.

The deaths were recorded in Bulawayo (1), Mashonaland East (1) and Mashonaland West (4) provinces.

Statistics from the Ministry of Health and Child Care show that in the last 24 hours, 156 of the infected people are hospitalised in different institutions across the country.
