Raunchy dancer Beverly “Bev” Sibanda left the country for South Africa yesterday afternoon to buy new costumes for her group ahead of a busy schedule that begins with a show at Private Lounge on April 30.

The dancer who returns to the stage after a ‘repentance’ stint with Prophet Magaya’s Prophetic Healing and Deliverance ministries is on demand as promoters jostle to sign her for shows.

Her manager Hapaz Mapimhidze said they have signed 10 contracts since Tuesday when the media revealed the dancer had returned to showbiz.

“Bev is on her way to South Africa for new uniforms. We have our first show at Private Lounge on April 30. We have been under pressure from promoters that want shows and so far we have signed 10 contracts for performances in Harare, Chegutu and Kadoma” said Hapaz.

Bev has since made a US$200 increase on her performance fees due to the demand. She is charging US$600 per show for Harare performances and US$800 for shows outside Harare.

She even wants to spruce her group and is set to recruit two girls to add on to her five-member outfit.

“As we speak rehearsals are in progress and the girls are preparing to go on stage soon,” he said. Speaking on the issue of her boutique business, Hapaz said they were yet to decide their next move although it was most likely they would surrender it back to Magaya.

Bev is expected back home on Saturday.
