LATEST: Mutare City Council appoints Mapurisa Acting Town Clerk

Mutare City Council has appointed its Housing and Community Services Director, Mr Stenard Mapurisa, as the acting town clerk.Mr Mapurisa’s appointment follows Tuesday’s resignation by Mr Obert Muzawazi which was accepted by council.
Mayor, Councillor Tatenda Nhamarare, told Diamond FM that Mr Mapurisa was appointment following a special council meeting held at the Civic Centre today (Wednesday).

The local authority is busy implementing recommendations of a special audit report that exposed corruption and a litany of malpractices at the municipality.
