Online ReporterHARARE lawyer Admire Rubaya took to his Facebook page yesterday to express gratitude to his support system during the seven year legal battle.
He was acquitted of theft by the Supreme Court on Wednesday.
Speaking to H-Metro yesterday, Rubaya said he made the long post to express gratitude to his support system, his family, friends and legal team.
He hinted that he may write a book on his ordeal.
“Ndikati domido…. imi moti lala….domido lala…yesterday I taught my lawyers Thabani Sibangani Mpofu Oliver Marwa and Tymon Tabana how to sing that song….I was the lead vocalist soon after my acquittal by the Supreme Court of Zimbabwe.
“This had been a seven year legal battle for freedom. Some of my detractors and enemies had already dug my grave celebrating my perceived downfall on account of facing criminal charges…”manje richava gomba remarara..”
“The bogus criminal charges emanated from the professional discharge of my duties as a criminal defence counsel prosecuting a client’s defence,” wrote Rubaya in part.
