Learners cherish airport tour

MARCH 14 was a day worth noting in the diary for Munashe Private High School learners who were part of a group that toured the refurbished Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport.

The airport experience was an eye-opener, especially for those who were visiting the place for the first time.

The tour enabled learners to get up close with the country’s flagship airline — Air Zimbabwe. We explored a plane with a carrying capacity of 160 passengers. Experiencing the comfort of the plane while on board was a memorable experience.

Also, we had the rare opportunity to interact with the airport staff, including touring their various departments.

Watching an Ethiopian Airways plane taxiing before taking off into the skies was also a fascinating experience.

The tour inspired many to pursue a career in aviation.

Seeing is believing.

This was indeed a mind-changing moment.
