Lebo M ends engagement with Mel Ntsala

Grammy Award-winning musician and producer Lebo Morake, famously known as Lebo M, has reportedly ended his relationship with Mel Ntsala just three months after rekindling their romance.

The on-and-off couple made headlines in June 2025 when it was revealed they were back together and engaged once again. The Lion King composer topped social media trends at the time after being spotted with Ntsala in Dubai on a R2 million yacht. Their engagement was announced shortly after the trip.

Morake shared the exciting news in June through glamorous photos of the yacht proposal. In a heartfelt Instagram post, which has since been deleted, he wrote: “The day we stop believing in love and possibilities is when we stop dreaming. Very grateful to find my dream come true and begin this new chapter.”

However, just months later, it seems the fairy tale has come to an end. Over the weekend, reports surfaced that the award-winning composer and reality TV star had called off the engagement. Entertainment outlet MDN News revealed on its X account on Sunday that Morake had officially split from Ntsala.

Insiders have confirmed that their relationship had been facing challenges for a while. Speaking to TshisaLIVE, a source said that the couple’s romance had been “faltering for some time,” which ultimately led to the break-up.

This isn’t the first time the pair’s relationship has ended in heartbreak. The 57-year-old musician first proposed to Ntsala in 2019, but their engagement fell apart the following year amid rumours of infidelity. Their decision to reunite earlier this year had sparked excitement among fans, with many hoping the couple would finally make it down the aisle.

Unfortunately, their latest split suggests the couple could not overcome their past issues. While neither Morake nor Ntsala has publicly addressed the separation, the sudden deletion of Morake’s engagement post hints that things may have ended on a sour note.

For now, the celebrated composer seems to be turning his focus back to his career, while fans wait to see if this is truly the end of his love story with Ntsala − OK.
