Red Fox reopens tonight
SITUATED in the leafy suburb of Greendale, Red Fox Hotel, the prime joint for dancehall and reggae music lovers, shut its doors for renovations earlier this year.
Rising to popularity with their “Foxy Wednesdays” and “Mad Sundays”, which were headlined by top sound houses in the country, Judgement Yard and Legendary Sounds, this nightspot was unmatched in terms of providing quality dancehall entertainment.
With the first phase of renovations complete, the joint will make a comeback tonight as they launch what they call “Murda Sundays” to replace their traditional “Mad Sundays”.
An array of top DJs and MCs including Smylie, Garry B, Lenny Matterhorn, Big Yard Sound, Fyaah Lynx and surprise artistes will be setting the tone for the new look club.
Red Fox was well known for bringing international dance-hall and reggae DJs and they will be continuing as Kenyan dancehall powerhouse, Black Supremacy Sound, is set to perform at the joint on Christmas Eve.
A representative from the club said they intend to go back to their glory days when they were the prime Sunday nightspot.
“We had just taken a break so that we could revamp the place and now that we have completed the first phase of renovations, we are bringing back the best of reggae and dancehall,” he said.
