Let us pray for rain and bumper harvest ahead of farming season

NDINOKUKWAZISAI mese nezita ramuponesi wedu Jesu Kristo.

Nhasi ndafara zvikuru kuva pano nemi, paungano yeJohane Masowe Chishanu Church, tichinamata tose takabatana, semhuri imwe chete yeZimbabwe.

I am honoured to be part of this gathering of the Johane Masowe Chishanu Church’s National Spiritual Conference, here in Highfield, Machipisa.

As Government and the revolutionary mass party, ZANU PF, we appreciate the time afforded to fellowship and pray with congregants from the different religious denominations in our country.

Ndinokutendai zvikuru Madzibaba Moses Gwasarira nehutungamiriri hwekereke yenyu nekundikoka kwamaita pano.

The Church community throughout our beloved motherland is called upon to continue praying for the peace, development and prosperity of our nation.

Kana isu vanhu vaJehovah tikazvininipisa, tichinyengetera nokutsvaka chiso chaTenzi, anoponesa nyika yekwedu, anoita zvakare kuti mabasa ose edu abudirire.

Ndinoda kukumbira kwamuri kuti murambe muchinamata kuna Musikavanhu kuti nyika yaMunhumutapa igare ine rugare, runyararo, kubatana uye nebudiriro.

Nhasi ndanzwa zvisungo zvamareva imi vechipostori, zvekunamatira nyika yedu, upfumi hwedu uye nebato redu riri kutonga reZANU PF.

Shoko benyu rinoti zvasungwa pasi pano, nekudenga zvasungwawo.

The word of God also says we shall declare a thing and it shall be established.

ZANU PF haina kwainoenda, icharamba ichitonga, ichingotonga, ichingotonga, Halleluya.

Ndinokutendai zvakare imi vechipostori nekutinamatira isu vatungamiriri.

1st Timothy 2 verses 1-2 instruct us to ensure that, “first of all, petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all the people, kings, and all those in authority . . .”

I equally thank you for participating and supporting the successful process that saw the enactment of the Constitutional Amendment Act Number 3.

Going forward, I urge us, in all our plans, including the development, modernisation and industrialisation of our country, to   give honour and glory to the Almighty  God.

Proverbs 3 verses 5-6 say, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways submit to Him and He will make your paths straight.”

Your involvement in the ongoing economic development, promotion and enforcement of the values of peace, unity and love is commendable. Well done.

Moving ahead towards the attainment of Vision 2030, I look forward to see all the churches of our beloved motherland playing their part in the programmes and projects outlined in the National Development Strategy 2.

Under ZANU PF, no one and no place must be left behind.

I also invite the churches to collaborate with Government in all programmes, including the national clean-up campaigns for cleaner living and working spaces.

I call upon the church to scale up programmes that fight the social vices in our society which include poverty, drugs and substance abuse, violence and crime, especially among the youth.

In addition, I urge you to also help increase the number of vulnerable children that have access to education.

Let us never neglect the widows and the elderly.

Kunyangwe vanoona nezvemamiriro ekunze vachiti kungava neEl Niño, tinokukurudzirai kuti mubatane nemamwe makereke emunyika yedu tinamatire mvura.

Tinoda kuti mwaka wedu wekurima wa2026/2027 uve nemaguta.

Ngatikurudziranei kwose kwatiri kurima zvine mutsindo, tizadze matura.

Psalms 147 verse 8, says, “He covers the sky with clouds, He supplies the earth with rain and makes grass grow on the hills.”

And Zechariah 10 verse 1 encourages us to “Ask the Lord for rain in the time of the rain; so that the Lord shall make bright clouds, and give showers of rain to the field”.

Let us, therefore, pray that the God of rain brings the rain in the time of rain.

Our households and country must continue to be food self-sufficient.

In concluding, I want to thank you for the initiatives being implemented under the banner of the church towards upliftment of the Johane Masowe Chishanu.

I recognise in particular your Elder, Madzibaba Wicknell Chivhayo, for his philanthropic work and generous giving to this church and the community at large.

Finally, I once again thank the leadership of Johane Masowe Chishanu Church for this special service.

Let us continue to work hard for a strong partnership between the Church and State as we promote Godly values and the overall development of our motherland, Zimbabwe.

My fellow brethren, brothers and sisters, today we rededicate ourselves to our faith in the Almighty God, and rejoice in peace, unity and His favour over our nation.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us all, now and forever more.
