Let us look at the Bible more closely and see how God dealt with the issue of homosexuality, how God will deal with people who are practising it now, and how He will deal with leaders who are drafting laws to allow this ungodly thing to be practised.
Leviticus 18:22 says, “Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable and an abomination to God.” This is according to the New International Version.
The King James Version says, “Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with a womankind, it is an abomination against God.” Verse 29 says, “For whoever shall commit any of these abominations or things shall be cut off among my people, that says God the Lord of Hosts.”
The Biblical account of Sodom and Gomorrah is recorded in Genesis Chapter 18 and 19. The Lord informed Abraham that the “outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is so great and grievous”. Chapter 19 records the two angels disguised as men visiting Sodom and Gomorrah. Lot met the angels by the gates of the city and urged them to stay at his house and they agreed. The Bible then informs us that before they had gone to bed, the men of Sodom and Gomorrah, both young and old, surrounded the house. They wanted to have sex with these angels but the angels made them blind. The angels instructed Lot and his family to flee from the cities so that they escape the wrath that God was about to deliver to those cities. The Lord Himself rained down burning fire and sulphur on Sodom and Gomorrah. Thus He overthrew those cities and the entire plan including all those living in those cities. The sin that Sodom and Gomorrah committed is practising homosexuality.
The term “Sodom” came to be used to refer to anal sex between two men, whether consensual or forced. Clearly homosexuality was part of the sins that made God destroy these cities. The men of Sodom and Gomorrah wanted to perform homosexual gang rape on the two angels who were disguised as men.
There is a point that some same sex activists have spent many years telling people that homosexuals are “born that way.” They claim it has to do with hormones and the like. We are watching some of this in movies, dramas and so on as people try to justify this wrong. But I must state that the three main studies that these activists use to claim the biological nature of homosexuality have very serious flaws. My big argument is if some people were born homosexual as claimed, would God have considered it a sin punishable by death? Certainly not!
In Leviticus it is recorded that homosexuals should be killed for their sins. Let these people be warned that the day is but at hand when God will deliver his judgment to those who are practising this act. Our God is a loving God and He would have not created homosexuals to be killed for a behaviour He Himself had created.
In the book of Genesis, Eve was created to be wife to Adam. God never created another man for Adam, but He gave him a woman to love, hence marriage became a union between a man and a woman. Even animals which do not have a reasoning capacity like that of human beings (presumably) know and respect the way God made the order of things.
Genesis 2:24, “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be united to his wife and they become one flesh.” There is nowhere in the Bible where John has to marry John and Loveness marrying Loveness. It is ungodly. Surely the practice will be put to an end and the blood of the perpetrators shall be upon themselves according to Leviticus 20 vs 13.
Ezekiel 16 vs 49-50, “Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned. They did not help the needy; they were haughty and did abominable and detestable things before God.”
To this day, the areas where Sodom and Gomorrah was located remain desolate and wasteland. Sodom and Gomorrah serve as a powerful example of how God feels about the sin of homosexuality and sin generally.
Do not be deceived; neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy and swindlers will inherit the Kingdom of God.
Romans 1 vs 26 also deplores the sin. It says “For this reason God gave to degrading passions, for their women exchanged the natural function for which is unnatural, and in the same way men abandoned the natural function of the women and burned in their desire towards one another, men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error.”
If the homosexual “community” chooses to continue practising homosexuality, let them know for certain that the Bible condemns their malpractices. Such behaviour is unacceptable and if those who are practising it do not repent, they will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
Surely, dogs and pigs are better than homosexuals because they respect nature and by so doing they still prove God as the creator.
Some Western countries have diverted from the will of God and they have solemnised same-sex marriages but God is unhappy about it.
The same people are trying to smuggle those bad habits to Zimbabwe but thank God, Zimbabweans have rejected this and our leadership is upholding moral values. For this reason God will keep them and shun those who are not doing His will. We do not need homosexuals in Zimbabwe. We are a people who respect our culture and moral values and above all the Bible.
