CELEBRATING women is something which must be done all the time given the huge role they play in society, Kingdom Prosperity Ministries’ Apostle Farai Chipoyera has said.
Speaking to H-Metro, Apostle Farai said:

“We are created in God’s image and precious to our Saviour and it’s a reason to celebrate women.
“It should not be a once off-thing but should be done every day.

“Yes, Women’s Month is recognised internationally given that it commemorates women, who play a big role in society.
“According to this year’s theme, which is to embrace equity, we should all embrace it, it’s not something that we should talk about but act on it.

“It recognises the key role that women play in various sectors of the economy.
“In Christianity, women play a number of roles, including taking their families to church, so that they live better lives as demanded by Christ.

“Christianity dislikes people who steal, hate others, who do not help others.
“In business, a lot of companies are now recognising the value of women and many women have been appointed to top positions such as CEOs and MDs.
“Others have formed their own businesses, which have gone on to be successful.

“We’ve also seen a lot of women taking up top posts in politics, such as Prime Minister, Vice President, Minister and so on.”
She also called on church leaders to allow everyone, including women, to have an opportunity to preach the gospel.
“In some churches, especially traditional churches, women are not given a chance to share the gospel, women are supposed to be on the benches and the pulpit is for men.
“I believe that women are also able to lead in church, they are also able to minister and must be given that opportunity since the word of God also says we are all sons of God.
“When the Bible says sons it’s not talking about gender but maturity so whoever, male or female, if you’re mature in the things of God, you’re able to lead those who are under you.”
Apostle Farai has been in ministry for over 15 years and has mentored many young women in the Christian community.
