zanu-pf supporters should on Monday next week put the final nail in the coffin of opposition parties in Zimbabwe to cement the gains of last November’s Operation Restore Legacy.

Addressing two highly-subscribed rallies to drum up support for President Mnangagwa and the party, zanu-pf candidate for the Mhondoro-Ngezi Cde Tavengwa Mukuhlani said the ballot box will cement the fate of all opposition parties.

He urged supporters to maintain the peace prevailing in the country ahead of the harmonised elections.

“If opponents approach you, just feed them and let them go peacefully,” he said.

“zanu-pf victory is certain and we should just demonstrate this through the ballot box on election day.

“Campaigning here is just a mere formality, you endorsed us already to lead, with development underway, what’s only left is for you to do so formally.”

Cde Mukuhlani said zanu-pf, through its manifesto promised development and this had been evident since the coming in of the new dispensation.

“So, let us finish off that which we started by voting and ensuring an emphatic victory by going to vote in our numbers,” he said.

“Our constituency is privileged to be in the midst of the largest platinum producer countrywide.

“It is also the largest nickel producer, with more than nine minerals being extracted there.

“However, there is problem that women are giving birth while travelling to the hospital because of poor roads, yet we have such a big mine in the area.”
