ZIMBABWEANS have been urged to continue praying for peace in the country.
The call was made yesterday by Apostle Benjamin Joseph Murata of New Life Pentecostal church during their service in the capital city.
“It is the duty of Christians to pray since they are not limited by situations,” said Apostle Murata.
“We are continuing to pray for development of the nation in peace.
“Church members are expected to strengthen the weak, the pagans who are easily disturbed by situations that include election results.
“Ukaona urimunhu anokumbira usingatarisire kunyimwa, kana kuti pamakwikwi hautarisire kukundwa, unonzwisa urombo zvikuru.
“The Bible is very clear on the choosing of national leaders in Romans Chapter 13.
“Leaders are chosen by God and not by situations.
“When God says if you believe in Jesus you will be saved, He never meant blessing you in another country but in your own nation,” he said.
Apostle Murata urged people to unite and continue to work in order to reap their expectations.
“Let us work together for the development of our nation.
“Kunamata Mwari nekutenda nezvatiinazvo ndizvo zvinopfumisa ndizvo zvinotaura shoko.
“Pray without ceasing, read the word of life and desist from the spirit of fighting progress,” he said.
A number of churches yesterday took time to pray for peace at various denominations.
