Let’s save our planet

Peter Tinotenda Mudimu

A WISE man once said, “One of the first conditions of happiness is that the link between man and nature shall not be broken.”

As learners, we come from different communities and when knowledge is imparted in us, it has been imparted to the whole community.

There can never be a way to pass information to many people than to inform learners first.

The environment should be a safe place for all species on earth and it is our duty as humans to guard it with love.

It is not about what, how or who.

It is about what you can do as an individual.

As parents, what can you do?

As learners or leaders what can we do ?

It is a terrible problem and it has to be solved. It deserves to be a huge priority.

As students, we have to know what is happening to our planet and also for us to solve this problem (climate change) so that we have a bright future.

We are also practicing waste management.

This is the waste that is thrown away daily and causes land pollution.

We can use cardboard boxes and textile waste to make earrings, plastic bottles to make bracelets, broken bowls to make clutch bags and rugs to make door mats.

By this, we are reducing land pollution and also creating employment for ourselves.

We are also encouraged to plant trees, both indigenous and exotic.
