LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: BCC must attend to problems timeously

Editor — I am very upset that the support of citizens to the Bulawayo City Council (BBC) is ignored.

The city council is arrogantly showing to us that they do not care about the resources and instead of spending $200 to fix a Problem they wait till the canal is destroyed (along with the citizens property) and then say that sanctions are holding them back.

It is foolish, especially when the councillors are living lavishly.

I have complained about dumping of refuse in the Grantham Road canals and there seems to be nothing done about it so the dumping continues and when this canal bursts its banks and the fuel station and gas station explode and kill citizens there will be a huge commission of inquiry with more people being paid great sums of money to discover what happened or what caused the explosion.

On that note we who live in Grantham Road are grateful that the holes were temporarily repaired — now is a good time to make it permanent because there is not a lot of work to be done.
