LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Punish all forms of corruption

Luke-Malaba-Justice

We have read of the arrest of high profile figures in recent months on charges of corruption and abuse of office, among other things.

The next thing we hear is the granting of bail to those people.

Once bail is granted, it becomes routine court appearances without due finalisation to these cases.

I think it’s high time we hear of convictions and jail terms.

The Head of State, HE ED Mnangagwa has publicly denounced corruption and has promised to leave no stone unturned in that endeavour.

The Chief Justice Luke Malaba has also added his voice in this fight.

This is the kind of leadership we want. Finally, let us unite against this cancer that is anti-development.

Corruption is cancerous. It destroys our society, hence the need to collectively fight it.

In corruption cases, both the giver and the receiver are liable to prosecution.

Let’s embrace this new dispensation. Zimbabwe has turned a corner and it must not be pulled back by corruption.
