I am appealing to the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe to investigate why we still have some critical cash shortages in the country when the new bank notes were released to the market some three weeks ago.
We all heard the President saying people would be withdrawing their money from the banks and he said cash problems would be a thing of the past, that is why we want to know why that is not happening.
Some greedy individuals have allegedly been reported to have withdrawn large sums of money.
As I speak some commercial banks are currently being investigated for diverting cash to the black market thereby depriving ordinary citizens.
We are appealing to the government to make sure that all corrupt banks are severely punished and we also heard that some influential people are involved in the cash shortages.
We hope that the anti-corruption Commission will get to the bottom of this issue and bring to book those involved in the vice.
All banks involved should be named and shamed. Evidence is there for all to see since illegal money changers have got money with serial numbers which can easily be traced back to the source.
