TEENAGE sensation Libho has done it again.
Libho’s lyrical brilliance handed him one of the most prestigious crowns every Zimdancehall artist yearns for in the early stages of their career.
Libho real name-Tawanda Karera-earned the bragging rights as Harare Cup Clash King of Dancehall after outshining more than 50 other budding chanters at City Sports Centre.
The event saw a record crowd witnessing the clash held last Saturday.
The 17-year-old who made his first mark at Dj Levels’ birthday bash in 2019, outclassed crowd favourite Khonangale in the final.
He dedicated the win to his family and fans in Mbare.
“I am overwhelmed, this means a lot to me as a rising musician.
“After failing to impress at last year’s event I did my homework and came prepared for the clash.
“I want to thank my family and fans for endorsing my music, they are the ones who made me push to win the contest,” said Libho.
He said he is using the title to further his career.
“Takutoita zvemangoma, I have been having a few international calls to South Africa but I hope now things will turn in the right direction for me.
“I have been dreaming of this crown and this my time to shine,” he said.
Yesterday, Libho dropped a new song-Khonangale Akafira Ipapo-a diss song directed to the losing finalist.
The chanter is making waves with songs such as Hautemeke, Zvichaita Stable, Gogoi Pano, and Simudzai Maoko.
