LIONS DEN

MIAMI. – England’s base for their World Cup dreams is West Palm Beach’s one-year-old hotel, The Belgrove Resort and Spa, a US$100million, 150-room property that is part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection.

The property features three swimming pools and a spa inside ‘Caribbean-inspired grounds’.

Harry Kane is known to play off 1, so he and his team-mates are going to be thrilled with the multi-million dollar renovated Jack Nicklaus signature golf course, Dutchman’s Pike, right on site.

They have a multitude of dining options at the resort, but top of the menu at their American brasserie, Society 48, is Foie gras.

That dish is actually banned in the UK because the force-feeding process required to make it, meaning it is against domestic animal welfare legislation.

They also have a 1950’s inspired diner for poolside snacks and an Italian pop-up every weekend.

Four tennis courts, two pickleball courts and two padel courts are on offer as well as morning yoga classes if the Three Lions want to stretch away their stiffness (we suspect they’ll have physios for that!).

Tuchel’s squad will spend 12 days in the Sunshine State before moving on to their tournament base camp in Kansas City.

Many players are believed to have taken their manager’s advice and had an end-of-season holiday in the States to help them acclimatise quicker. – The Sun
