President Mnangagwa is today presiding over the 32nd National University of Science and Technology (NUST) graduation ceremony in Bulawayo, where 2 570 graduands are set to receive their certificates and degrees.
The graduating class comprises 1 362 males and 1 208 females, with 293 graduands graduating with distinctions or first-class degrees.
Among the graduands are five doctoral candidates, 65 students receiving awards and three students graduating posthumously. Nineteen graduands are from Botswana, Eswatini, Mauritius and Zambia, while three graduands are living with disabilities.
The ceremony also includes 212 graduands from NUST-affiliated institutions.
Zimpapers Day Editor, Nduduzo Tshuma among NUST graduands
ZIMPAPERS staffer Mr Nduduzo Tshuma is among the 2 570 graduands set to graduate at the 32nd National University of Science and Technology (NUST) on Thursday.
Mr Tshuma, the Day Editor at the Chronicle, is graduating with a Master of Science degree in Journalism and Media Studies.
He graduates with a distinction and will also be awarded the Vice-Chancellor’s Prize, the NUST Book Prize, as well as the Voluntary Media Council of Zimbabwe (VMCZ) Prize for the Best Graduating Postgraduate Student.
He will also be awarded the Zimbabwe Centre for Media and Information Literacy (ZCMIL) Innovate360 Programme Prize for Best Graduating Student in Entrepreneurship and Innovation in the Media.

The graduation ceremony has brought together families from across the country, with many parents proudly watching as their children mark a major milestone in their academic journeys.
Excitement is building at the university as the 2 570 graduands prepare to receive their certificates and degrees, with President Mnangagwa set to preside over the ceremony.

Hwange Local Board corporate communications officer Mr Dumisani Nsingo is among the 2 570 graduands graduating at the 32nd National University of Science and Technology (NUST) graduation ceremony today.
Mr Nsingo, a former Sunday News senior Business Reporter, is graduating with a Master of Science in Strategic Communication.
His graduation marks another milestone in a career spanning journalism and corporate communications.

Twins set to graduate and win awards at NUST graduation
ITS double joy for twins Bongiwe Charmaine Moyo and Bongile Shantel Moyo, who are among the 2 570 graduands set to graduate at the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) graduation ceremony on Thursday.
The twins are graduating with Bachelor of Science Honours degrees in Journalism and Media Studies.
Bongiwe will be awarded the Talent Trackers Prize for the Best Graduating Female Student in the Department and a Centre for Innovation and Technology (CITE) Floating Shield for the Best Graduating Online Journalist.
Bongile will be awarded the Zimbabwe Media Commission (ZMC) Floating Shield for the Best Graduating Student in Investigative Journalism.
