She brought her full band comprising Victor Mngomezulu (keyboards), Tshepo Sekele (bass), Grant Tregellas (guitarist) and Joshua Zacheus (drums).
The diva said she was looking forward to tonight’s performance.
“I am very excited to perform tonight and am definitely bringing new stuff during the live performance as me and my band are a brand that is always growing and evolving getting better and better each time,” said Lira.
She was welcomed by the promoter of the show Chris ‘Ghetto Fabulous’ Musabayana and his entourage. The concert will showcase supporting local artistes namely jazz songstress Prudence Katomeni-Mbofana, Mbira sensation Chiwoniso Maraire and Alexio Kawara.
The award winning Lira will be performing her timeless music which is a mix of Afro-Jazz, RnB, soul among others from the albums ‘Soul in mind’, ‘Feel good’, ‘All My Love’, her record, ‘Live in Concert’ and her latest ‘Return to love’.
