The goals scored by the club’s three forwards — Njabulo Ncube, Beaven Chikaka and Graham Ncube — add up to 12 while the league’s leading goal scorer Tendai Ndoro has scored 10 goals on his own.
Bosso midfielders Mthulisi Maphosa and Milton Ncube have also been forced to weigh in with crucial goals for the team. The Zambian mentor said it all depends on the financial muscle by the club.
“We are happy with the squad we have. We may add one or two players. We play as a team and have had goals from all the players but we would want to add one or two strikers,” said Kaindu.
“It is difficult for us to acquire players as a club at the moment. We are not in a good financial position. If there are players that are free we might look at them first. What is important is for the players to believe in ourselves and know that we can do it.”
Bosso are under severe pressure after losing three games on the trot, something that is very rare at the club.
Champions Dynamos said they will have a meeting today, after training, to see what the technical team wants and what can be added to the team.
Reports have indicated that Callisto Pasuwa is interested in Monomotapa defender Obey Mwerahari to ease his defence woes.
But that could be cover, given that he is a right-back, as Pasuwa has already been frustrated by the possible loss of Morris Kadzola, at a time when he felt he had groomed the young player to carry the workload that comes with playing for DeMbare.
Kadzola’s handlers are unhappy that DeMbare haven’t even paid them a cent since the defender moved to the club.
It’s never easy for players, when they move to teams like Dynamos and Highlanders, and Russell Madamombe has taken about six months to adjust and find his touch again.
Harare City are interested in getting Kadzola. Dynamos have been forced to operate with a limited squad most of the times this season due to injuries.
In central defence the coaches have been to restricted to use the duo of Gift Bello and Partson Jaure while newboy Byron Madzokere remains sidelined.
Jaure, though, could be lost to a South African Premiership club during this transfer window.
Augustine Mbara, who also has recovered from injury, has been forced to play at the heart of defence as well.
The club is also still pursuing the clearance of Congolese midfielder Jeremy Mumbere through the player’s agent.CAPS United are not looking for more players during the window.
Coach Taurai Mangwiro said they don’t have money to spend on new players.
“There isn’t much happening. If anything, we will make one or two reinforcements. We are not financially sound and not expecting to bring any big players to the club at the moment,” said Mangwiro.
Harare City, who went all out in the market before the start of the season, seem to be content with what they have at their disposal at the moment although Kadzola could be their only addition to a defence that leaked four goals in their last league game.
The Sunshine Boys made wholesome changes to the club bringing a number of players such as Osborne Mukuradare and James Jam who have made a huge impact.
Shabanie Mine coach Luke Masomere said he wants to be active on the market as he beefs up for the gruelling second half of the season.
“I am looking at a minimum of four players but l don’t know if the finances will permit us. I really want to beef up with a goalkeeper, a defender and two strikers. We have to fight hard to achieve and avoid relegation and we need competitive players to do that.
“The squad is not bad but there are some areas which we need to improve on. We have been winning some and losing some matches but we have to be at our best at this stage. We have identified the players and while one or two might becoming from the Premiership the rest will be from the Lower Division teams,” said Masomere.
Newboys Triangle, who are also plotting to avoid the dreaded chop in their first year, are also looking at beefing up their squad.
Coach Gishon Ntini said they simply need to plan for the second half of the season.
“We might add one or two players as we have been doing well with the team we have. We just need to change our approach.
“lt has been a learning curve for everyone from the players, supporters and management and now everyone understands football.
“We now know we need to apply a different approach and the team would be a better outfit in the second half,” said Ntini.
