adminMasoe Ndlovu, who parted ways with Ndolwane Supers Sounds last year to form Sungura Masters, is expected to stage shows with Vivian Nomakanjani Nkiwane who is based in South Africa.
In an interview, Ndlovu said they decided to partner with Nkiwane as a way of marketing each other in Zimbabwe and South Africa.
“This deal is going to see us touring all the cities of Zimbabwe before we venture into the South African tour,” he said.
They will hold shows in Bulawayo, Victoria Falls and Harare.
Ndlovu said Nkiwane actually got most of her dancing skills from him as they stayed in the same neighbourhood in South Africa.
“We last worked together with Nkiwane when I was in South Africa and I actually trained her to be the dancer that she is today,” he said.
Ndlovu said this partnership was meant to reinforce their friendship and also make them grow as artistes.
“These shows that we are going to have in Zimbabwe are more of an introduction of Nkiwane into the local music industry, as she is still based in South Africa,” he said.
Ndlovu said after completing their Zimbabwean tour they would go to South Africa for a tour, marketing their music there.
“This is the only way we can be known both in the Zimbabwean and South African music industry.
“Besides marketing ourselves we want to show the nation that musicians can work together like any other people in other industries,” he said.
Ndlovu said Nkiwane was into House Kwasa, which is totally different from his sungura music and this would give their shows variety.
“We do not play the same kind of music and this is going to give fans a variety of music to listen to,” he said.
Ndlovu said Nkiwane had one album that she released sometime last year and this was going to be an opportunity for music lovers in Zimbabwe to see her perform live on stage.
