One of Zimbabwe’s fastest growing fashion promoters, Fashion Weekend Zimbabwe in partnership with Rungano Rwedu Arundel Village Store, will tomorrow evening launch a Trunk Shop for local designers.

The Trunk Shop (or Local Designers Store) will provide fashion lovers with a chance to preview exclusive locally made products, accessories and clothing from some of Zimbabwe’s finest designers like stylist Haleema Mekani ( Maddame Chichi), the Mucha Original African Couture, #NDNM, Lady Targaryen, Targaryen Man, Goddess by Fatima and many others.

According to the organisers, the opening is going to be Zimbabwe biggest fashion networking platform aimed at promoting local designers.

“We are sure we have created this platform for everyone in Zimbabwe, we will be having all the designers in store to provide one-on-one styling tips and recommendations,” noted the organisers in a statement.

“If you love fashion, then don’t miss an opportunity to network with other fashion devotees, meet the designers behind the brands in person and enjoy pre-opening discounts.”

Star FM is the official radio partner of the event.

“We are going to have a red carpet experience for our designers and guests. Interviews will be conducted live by Star FM as our official media partner. We urge all locals to come in their numbers to support and have first-hand experience with Zimbabwean fashioners”, said the organisers.

The event is scheduled to start at 5.30pm and end later in the night. Tickets are going for $10.
