LOCAL producer, Mutual Beatz (Robinson Koti) has widened his net, casting it as far as Nigeria after producing two songs for Nigerian artiste, TegaStarr (real name Tega Daniel Izobo).
Mutual Beatz produced songs Vuvuzela and Greater for TegaStarr.
With a career spanning more than a decade, the producer owes his vast experience to networking and his latest projects with TegaStarr stem from good relations with other stakeholders in the music business.
“I met TegaStarr through a friend from Nigeria named Oxlade. Music is my superpower and I’m promising the world a different and powerful African sound filled with lots of African instruments on my various projects,” said Mutual Beatz.
TegaStarr’s tracks border around the subject of love. Greater is a pick-me-up song and Mutual Beatz feels proud to have worked with the Nigerian.
This not the first time that the producer has worked with foreign artistes and producers though.
“Together with my friend Tinotenda Ncube better known as Bhoroz, we have in the past worked with Fireboy Dml, Dotman, Niniola and locals Brian Soko, Mandie Mae, CMK and Simba Tagz.”
The Bachelor of Science Honours in Animal Science degree holder does not only excel in art, his academics speak volumes too. He graduated from the National University of Science and Technology (Nust) with a First Class degree status and accolades. These were for being the Best Overall Student in the Applied Sciences faculty and the Best Overall Student in his respective department.
Moving forward, the producer says he is looking forward to releasing an album that will feature Poptain, Trayce Selasi, Murphy Cubic, Fireboy Dml and other talented artistes.
“I’m also still open to a few more features before we drop the album,” said Mutual Beatz. – @eMKlass_49.
