SOME of Zimbabwe’s brightest musical talents are set to headline the Buddie Beatz Legends Concert, a flagship entertainment event scheduled to take place on July 6, 2025, at Baobab Primary School in Victoria Falls.

The concert is part of the Econet Victoria Falls Marathon (EVM) celebrations and will run from 6 PM until midnight.

The event will bring together a stellar lineup of local and national artistes for a free musical showcase under the theme: “Make a date, come and celebrate your victory.”

The concert aims to celebrate both athletic and artistic excellence, while drawing attention to the cultural and tourism potential of the scenic Victoria Falls.

The lineup – which includes several artistes from Bulawayo and Victoria Falls – features top performers such as South African Master KG, Sungura kingpin Alick Macheso, ExQ, Tocky Vibez, Calvin Mangena, DJ Chiweddar, Flying Bantu, Intotal Band, DJ Liz, DJ Sfiso, DJ Ceejay, and DJ Kotwane Hikwa, among others.

The local artistes from Victoria Falls and Bulawayo expressed gratitude for the opportunity to perform at a major event with a national and international audience.

Victoria Falls’ own Afro-fusion ensemble Flying Bantu described their participation at the event as a great honour.

“As local artists, we’re proud to finally be part of this event. We’ve been trying to get on this stage for years, and now that we’re in, it’s a great honour,” the group said.

“The EVM is more than a sporting event – it’s a platform that highlights the beauty, talent and diversity of Victoria Falls to the rest of Zimbabwe and the world.”

Bulawayo-based rising star Calvin Mangena, whose single “Zvakanaka” has garnered nationwide attention, also expressed appreciation for his participation.

“It’s a big moment for me. I’m honoured and excited to perform alongside legendary names and to connect with fans in one of the country’s most iconic destinations.”

DJs Sfiso and Kotwane, who hail from Matabeleland, said the opportunity to perform at such a high-profile event was both humbling and thrilling.

“We are truly honoured to be part of the lineup. Sharing the stage with Zimbabwean music legends is a dream come true, and we are excited to bring Bulawayo energy to Victoria Falls.”

DJ Liz, also from Bulawayo, added:

“It’s my first time performing at the EVM, and I’m thrilled to get to be part of the action. I can’t wait to bring something fresh to the stage.”

With a rich and colourful programme, the Buddie Beatz Legends Concert promises to be a cultural highlight of the marathon weekend, blending athletic achievement with the vibrancy of Zimbabwean sounds and music.
