Lockdown measures: Police warn public

Post Report

POLICE in Manicaland have said they will be out in full force to ensure that the public complies with the new Level Four lockdown measures recently announced by President Mnangagwa.

The additional measures introduced include reduced trading hours for industry and commerce, a longer curfew, decongestion of workplaces to 40 percent and prohibition of non-production intercity movement.

Manicaland provincial police spokesperson Inspector Luxson Chananda said resources and manpower have been mobilised to monitor the public’s compliance.

This comes in the wake of a similar call by Minister of State for Manicaland Provincial Affairs and Devolution Honourable Nokuthula Matsikenyeri who called on people in the province to heed the lockdown measures, saying this is for their own good.
