Longcheng tourney on

ALL is set for the 2017 Longcheng Boys Football Cup tournament today at Longcheng grounds with 12 primary schools battling it out. The tournament is for Under-13 primary schools and Under-17 secondary schools. Massie Mutemaringa, one of the tournament organisers, said the first event for the Under-13 will be held today while the secondary schools will compete next weekend.

“We have invited a total of 22 schools mainly from Belvedere and Warren Park to take part in the competition.

“The tournament will take part at Longcheng football pitch (next to teenager’s park) and by yesterday 12 schools had confirmed their availability.

“They include Belvedere Junior School, Selbourne Routledge School, Louis Mountbatten School, Warren Park 1, Warren Park 3, Warren Park 4, Warren Park 5, Warren Park, Westlea, Alfred Beit School, Fundo and Avonlea primary schools.”
