LOSING Zanu-PF candidate for Nketa-Emganwini National Assembly constituency Cde Elifas Mashaba yesterday donated five wheelchairs and medical supplies to Nketa Clinic.

In an interview after the donation, Cde Mashaba said the gesture was a way of serving the community as emphasised by President Mnangagwa. He said last month, he assisted 1 082 people to receive free treatment at the clinic.

“As part of community service and servant leadership guided by President Mnangagwa we decided to give the remaining medicine from our initial outreach programme which took place on 21 and 22 July. We started the programme to help people get treatment for free and we managed to assist up to 1 082 people,” said Cde Mashaba.

Bulawayo Assistant Director Health Services Dr Khulamuzi Nyathi thanked Cde Mashaba for the gesture.

“We are very grateful to Mr Mashaba and his team for the donations as it is a response to the needs of the community. He brought the medication after he had visited the clinic and the community and saw what kind of ailments people were suffering from,” said Dr Nyathi.
