Love thy neighbour: Strip club opens next to convent

While village leaders have publicly said that they too are against the adult establishment, it now appears as if the mayor of Stone Park is of a different mind. The Saint Charles Borromeo-Scalabrians convent is located just steps away from the new strip club “Get It.”
“To be very clear and blunt about it, the whole thing stinks to high heaven,” said Thomas Brejcha, of the Thomas More Society, a Catholic legal group aiding the nuns in their fight.
Brejcha told MyFox Chicago that the nuns have been getting harassing phone calls from Mayor Ben Mazzulla, trying to bully them into ending their protest.
The nuns have sent cease and desist letters to the Village of Stone Park and the club’s owner. The strip club has already set up its website and started searching for dancers. — Daily Mail.
