Lover kills girlfriend snatcher

Banda met Mandizvidza at Venice Business Centre at around 10:30pm last Saturday.
The two agreed to be intimate and sneaked into the bush after Maseko had gone to the toilet.
On his return, his colleagues informed him that his girlfriend had left with another man.
Maseko followed the pair and caught them in a compromising position.
Mashonaland West police spokes-person Inspector Clemence Mabgweazara said investigations were in progress.
“Maseko followed in the direction the two lovebirds had gone and found them being intimate. He asked them to explain themselves,” he said.
An altercation ensued and Maseko started beating Mandizvidza. Banda intervened to rescue Mandizvidza.
But Maseko allegedly drew a knife and stabbed Banda in the throat before running away.
“He (Maseko) disappeared upon realising that he had killed someone and is still on the run. We therefore appeal to anyone with information that can help police track him down to approach their nearest police station,” said Insp Mabgweazara.
Banda’s body was taken to Kadoma General Hospital for post-mortem.
