Low turnout mars Chimbetu gig

Saturday Leisure Reporter
ALLAN “Madzibaba” Chimbetu’s show at Hustlers’ Night Club in Bulawayo on Thursday attracted about 20 people. Nevertheless, the low turnout did not stop him from giving a commendable show, belting hit after hit.  Chimbetu would ask fans to request songs they wanted him to play, especially yesteryear tunes from the Marxist Brothers.

Fans were treated to a great show which consisted of good dance moves and instrument arrangement.

He played songs such as Dzandipedza Mafuta, Professor, Rudo Ibofu and One Way. AMai VaJulie proved to be the fans’ favourite as they continued to ask the band to play it over and over again.

Chimbetu continues with his Matabeleland South tour with a show in Hwange tonight before coming back to Bulawayo for another show at Whatever Sports Bar tomorrow.
