The superstar striker passionately believes both he and his team have undergone a transformation in recent months that has helped them grow into genuine contenders. Suarez, who has scored a staggering 22 goals in just 16 English Premier League games this season, insists he has found the perfect home on Merseyside now the Reds have displayed their right to join the Champions League elite. And he reckons the Champions League commitments of their closest rivals will be a bonus for Liverpool in the title run-in. He said: “All of the clubs ahead of us are in the Champions League so they will be more tired after playing more matches. Obviously the intensity in the Champions League is difficult to handle; it tires you and the stress can change you. So we have to take advantage of this.
“I don’t know if we have what it takes to be champions, but we didn’t deserve to lose either of the matches played recently against the top clubs. We lost at City and Chelsea, but it’s alright, we are playing well and are on the right track”. — The Mirror.
