THE Luna Park, which had set up camp at Matopos Sailing Club in Matabeleland South Province, has moved to Bulawayo for the festive season.

For those who want to visit the mobile amusement park, North End suburb, adjacent to Highlanders Sports Club is the place to go to enjoy the train, the jets, the shells, the boats and the big wheel.

Having started in the 1970s, Luna Park is still a favourite of many, from children to adults. It is mostly popular during the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair period where the owners station the machines close to ZITF grounds for the convenience of those who would have visited the annual trade showcase.

Family Amusement Park Managing Director, Witness Chihota said the park has moved to Bulawayo to cater for Bulawayo clients.

“We are very excited to notify our customers that we will be in Bulawayo for the whole festive season. We have moved to North End for the benefit of our customers, in order to bring Luna Park closer to them. “The people are generally happy because the venue is closer to them unlike at Matopos Sailing Club and we get more exposure in Bulawayo. We were working two days a week and on public holidays and generally business was going well until the festive season started which saw demand increasing,” he said.

“Since the festive season is a time of giving, we shall be discounting some of the rides at the park for our customers.”–@Sagepapie14
