ZIMBABWE’S senior and most experienced players Craig Ervine and Sean Williams have stabilised the Chevrons after an early wobble with the bat.

The Chevrons started day two with the bat after South Africa declared on 419/9, their day one score.
The Proteas struck early, in the first over with Codi Yusuf getting Takudzwanashe Kaitano for a golden duck.

Yusuf struck again in the fifth over, getting Nick Welch for four runs. The wicket brought Williams into the middle.
Zimbabwe suffered yet another blow as Brian Bennett retired hurt on 19 runs in the seventh over, bringing the skipper Ervine into the middle.
Williams and Ervine enjoy a 62 run third wicket partnership.
