LUVEVE claimed third spot in the Highlanders Bulawayo Kasi Pride Battle with victory over Magwegwe ahead of the final between Mzilikazi and Nkulumane, whose results will be released on Wednesday.

At the end of the Twitter polling on Tuesday, Luveve had received 50.5 percent of the 281 votes cast while Magwegwe got 49.5 %.

Nkulumane and Mzilikazi are squaring off in the final, with the winner to be declared on Wednesday after 24 hours of voting.

Ronald Moyo, the Highlanders media and communications officer expressed satisfaction with the levels of participation for the final as witnessed by the close to 400 votes in just six hours of voting. Nkulumane had taken an early lead with over 54% percent of the votes and it is yet to be seen if Mzilikazi will be able to recover seeing that there is still time left before close of polling.

Highlanders are in partnership with Arenel for this particular initiative and Moyo is impressed that Bosso supporters are getting to interact with both brands on social media.

“The final is on. Like all other polls, it will run for 24 hours. We are happy with the numbers so far, it shows that the fans are interacting with the brands,’’ Moyo said.

Arenel were initially not part of the campaign and only joined in the second round at the invitation of Highlanders since they were impressed with the idea. Last season Arenel provided the Highlanders first team with their Hydro Boost mineral water for training and match days with indications the two organisations might be working on a bigger joint venture for the future.
