LVG won’t sign Kroos

LONDON. — Louis van Gaal has pulled the plug on Manchester United’s pursuit of Bayern Munich’s Toni Kroos.
David Moyes thought he was well advanced in a £20million deal for Kroos before he was sacked last month.
However, van Gaal has told United chief Ed Woodward he does not want the Germany midfielder when shown Moyes’ hitlist of summer targets.
This is despite the fact that United’s new manager worked with Kroos when he was in charge of Bayern. Van Gaal is determined to take United in a different direction to Moyes and has drawn up his own list of midfield targets.

He is a known admirer of Roma’s Dutch international midfielder Kevin Strootman, while he could also revive United’s interest in Cesc Fabregas.
And Kroos is expecting to still be at the Allianz Arena next season and understands the club’s stance regarding a new contract.— The Mirror/Sky Sports.
