wondering what television would be like without M-Net channel. From all the channels on DStv’s bouquet I find M-Net refreshing and as such it didn’t come as a surprise that the channel bagged 32 awards at the 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards.

National Geographic Wild – (DStv Channel 261)
Killer Shots: Traditionally, associated with filming killer sharks, Killer Shots sees Andy Casagrande getting up close and personal with the king of the jungle, sometimes too close for comfort.
The veteran field producer and cinematographer with a passion for wildlife is a legend of the wild. He has travelled the world in pursuit of the king cobras in India, lions in Tanzania, baboons in South Africa and great white sharks.
In the next instalment of Killer Shots, he will do almost anything to film the world’s top predators: swim with great whites, track lions across the Serengeti and search for days in sub-zero temperatures to find a polar bear.
This man is super brave or just insanely curious! DStv audiences can tune into the Great White Ambush episode on National Geographic Wild on DStv on Wednesday 28 September at 7pm.
The Wild celebrates 100 episodes
Since arriving on our television screens in April this year, the true-to-life characters from The Wild have kept viewers enthralled with on-the-edge-of-your-seat drama and intrigue at Dinaledi Lodge. This week, viewers of M-Net’s groundbreaking soap will see them in action in the 100th episode of The Wild.
Theo Erasmus, Director, M-Net General Entertainment says M-Net was proud of this pioneering production. Shona Ferguson, who plays the role of the love-to-hate character, Itumeleng Tladi said:”I’m honoured to be part of such an unusual production like The Wild. It has really been a WILD ride.
“It amazes me how we manage to shoot a daily soap on location and still be standing after 100 episodes and going even stronger. I’m looking forward to the next hundred and more.”
Putla Sehlapelo, better known to The Wild’s audience as Tiro Lebone said: “Being on The Wild has been like test driving a car. We all know what it feels like to finally drive your dream car and that is how I feel about working on The Wild. It feels like I have just bought myself that car.”
Connie Ferguson, who plays Marang Lebone said: “After being in the industry for as long as I have been, being on The Wild is like a breath of fresh air, it pushes me to the limits and allows me to enjoy life and acting all over again. I feel like a kid in a candy store, excited and looking forward to tasting all the sweets available to me.”
Viewers can look forward to more gripping episodes in the next month. Itumeleng has some dodgy stuff up his sleeve and Jack is in serious trouble.
