Machaya attacks Tsvangirai

ZANU-PF Midlands chairperson Cde Jason Machaya has attacked MDC-T leader, Mr Morgan Tsvangirai for threatening to reverse the country’s indigenisation programme and promoting gay rights in the event he wins the elections on 31 July. Cde Machaya, who is also the Midlands Governor was addressing thousands of people in Gweru gathered to celebrate local businesswoman, Mrs Smelly Dube’s winning of the Midlands Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce businesswoman of the year and first runner-up in the ZNCC national awards.

The awards were in recognition for her role in providing accommodation to the people of the Midlands through her property company, River Valley Properties.

Cde Machaya said Mr Tsvangirai’s utterances were a threat to God’s divine order where a man is supposed to marry a woman and sweat to eke out a living while working on the land.

“God created a person so that he or she works and sweats for a living. He also arranged that a man should marry a woman so that they have children and multiply. President Mugabe fully understands this and he gave Zimbabweans land so that they can work for a living. He is also a God fearing man. That is why he condemns homosexuality. The MDC-T wants to promote homosexuality if they are voted into office,” he said.

Cde Machaya said Zimbabweans should be wary of Mr Tsvangirai’s intentions to bring foreigners and reverse the land reform programme.

He said there were many Zimbabweans in Britain and in the United States who were struggling to get employment.
Cde Machaya said people should never search for solutions to their challenges from outsiders.

He said President Mugabe wanted every Zimbabwean to benefit from the indigenisation programme and their God-given natural resources.
“President Mugabe told us to look at what we were given by God and use it to advance our lives. Each country has its own resources,” said Cde Machaya.

The Governor said the solutions to Zimbabwe’s challenges must be found by Zimbabweans.
“There are some people right now who are preaching that if you give them a chance to lead you, they will bring their wealthy friends with money from overseas. Such friends’ love is conditional. God does not want that. Why do we need rich friends when we have our gold and other resources? If in a family set up the father tells his kids that he will bring his friend who will pay fees, buy food and buy the wife a dress, the family will end up loving the friend more. The friend will end up taking your wife and kids,” said Cde Machaya.

The Midlands Governor said Zimbabwe needed more individuals like Mrs Dube.
He said the Government appreciated Mrs Dube’s work and gave her River Valley Property more land to develop 6 000 stands.

The company had initially developed more than 2 000 residential stands and houses in Gweru.
“We need people like Mrs Dube who work to improve their lives and those of their fellow countrymen. I have been to different places in the province donating goods for the needy sourced by Mrs Dube,” said Cde Machaya.
