Macheso, Chipfumo to headline ‘Sungura Chillout’ gig in Mutare

IN one of the most exciting pairings in Zimbabwe’s music industry, Alick Macheso will cap off his month-long annual leave with a potentially blockbuster performance at The Platinum Leisure Centre in Mutare next Saturday, sharing the stage with Progress Chipfumo.
Dubbed “Sungura Chillout,” the show will mark the first time the two sungura heavyweights perform together since the venue’s major upgrade to world-class standards.

Popularly known as PaMupfumi, The Platinum Leisure Centre now boasts high-speed Wi-Fi, a state-of-the-art PA system, a stylish VIP lounge, and a restaurant offering a fusion of international and traditional cuisines.
Both Macheso and Chipfumo have promised sterling performances, with each hinting at debuting yet-to-be-released songs, adding even more excitement to what is already shaping up to be a memorable night for sungura fans.
