FORMER Utakataka Express member Matthew Perego says he is humbled by the support he is getting from Alick Macheso’s fans.
Macheso and the late Tongai Moyo, who founded Utakataka Express, were rivals.
However, there are still some Macheso fans who respect the late Tongai.
“We really support Macheso but we were impressed by Perego’s talent.
“He proved that he is, indeed, a talented guitarist and you can only ignore him at your own peril,” said Elvis Sizara, who is known for pampering Macheso with cash, on stage.
“It’s really encouraging that we still have talented artists, who are giving us options.
“We hope that he holds a joint show with Macheso,” he said.
