MUTARE is about to explode with rhythm and fire as sungura king Alick Macheso, contemporary hitmaker Jah Prayzah, and dancehall wild child Enzo Ishall gear up to headline the Chibuku Neshamwari Traditional Dance Festival national finals!
The showdown is set FOR 19 July at the Mutare Showgrounds where ten of the country’s finest traditional dance groups will battle for supremacy in a cultural spectacle like no other.

Also on the performers’ list is The Vibrant Band and 2023’s reigning champs Nyaungwe Arts from Mashonaland East.
Bulawayo will pin its hopes on Sekunjalo MaAfrica Arts, while Green Stars Dance Troupe carries the flag for Harare.

Other groups dancing their way to the national stage include:

• Imvimbi Arts (Matabeleland North)
• Katawa Dance Group (Mashonaland West)
• Undi Gure (Midlands)
• Semvumba Arts Ensemble (Manicaland)
• Sekusile Dance Group (Mat South)
• Goromonzi Arts Ensemble (Mash East)
The provincial qualifiers wrap up on July 5 in Shamva at Tippaz Night Club, with the Mashonaland Central winner sealing the final slot.
Hosted by the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe in partnership with the Zimbabwe National Traditional Dance Association (ZNTDA), this year’s finals promise a sizzling blend of tradition and modern star power.
