Macheso preaches unity ahead of Jah Prayzah showdown

SUNGURA ace, Alick Macheso, says local artists must continue working together because the entertainment industry needs such partnerships.

He was speaking ahead of his joint show with Jah Prayzah at Vengere Stadium in Rusape this Saturday.

The two music giants will share the stage at the Manicaland 2023 Shutdown show.

“We always wish and want to work with everyone. It’s good for the industry, it’s good for the fans.

“Most of our shows, we always give a platform to upcoming musicians to showcase their talent.

“When it comes to other established musicians, we feel it’s good for fans to enjoy variety under one roof.”

The two giant entertainers, who command a huge following, rarely share the stage, making this forthcoming show something to look forward to. Macheso’s publicist, Tich Makahamadze, said this was a special event.

“It’s been long since we performed at this venue.

“Also, the fact that we are sharing the stage with one of the best in the country, makes it special.

“We are in the festive season and we make sure that we come up with a number of shows that cater for all our fans around the country.

“We have lined up a number of shows around the country.

“Before the big one in Rusape, we are in Shamva on December 15 for a special show whereby the man himself, Alick Macheso, is taking his sons Esau and Tatenda to his home for the first time.”

The shows are being powered by local music promoter, Wellington ‘Boss Chicco’ Chikoore, of CF Entertainment.

“This is for the fans,  we have noted that big musicians have been touring the country doing solo shows.

“So, for that same package, we want them to enjoy the country’s greatest musicians.

“We have lined up similar shows going forward because we feel it’s good for the industry,” he said.
